Our Trainer Journey

Founder's Story – K9 School

Adnaan Khan’s journey with dogs did not begin as a career choice. It began as a lifelong calling. From early childhood, he was deeply drawn to dogs—long before he was allowed to have one of his own. In the absence of a pet, he immersed himself in learning about dog breeds, behaviour, psychology, working dogs, training systems, and global research. Books, journals, blogs, and videos became his constant companions. What started as fascination evolved into deep, structured knowledge.

Alongside this passion, Adnaan was equally clear about one thing: he wanted to be a founder. Entrepreneurship represented creative independence, long-term impact, and the ability to build institutions rather than individual practices.

Education, Exposure, And The First Dog

Adnaan completed a BSc in Business Management from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, United Kingdom. Upon returning to India, his first decision was deeply personal—he adopted his first dog, Homer, an adopted Bullmastiff.

Homer, with no known background, became the living ground on which years of accumulated knowledge were finally tested. Everything Adnaan had studied across hundreds of books, thousands of articles, and global training philosophies was applied, refined, and challenged in real life.

Homer went on to become one of the most recognised Bullmastiffs in the country for trainability and temperament. He demonstrated advanced behavioural control, responded to spoken English words, and could perform complex household tasks such as operating switches. More importantly, he displayed exceptional emotional stability and clarity, reshaping public perception of what ethical, structured training could achieve.

Early Adoption Work, Shelters, And Rehabilitation

Parallel to training his own dog, Adnaan was actively involved in adoption awareness, shelter volunteering, and rehabilitation work from a young age. Working closely with dogs affected by neglect, poor socialisation, and trauma gave him early insight into behavioural collapse and recovery.

These experiences shaped his core philosophy: most behavioural issues are not acts of disobedience, but results of broken systems, confusion, or unmanaged stress.

Over time, this hands-on exposure evolved into structured behavioural frameworks designed not just for individual dogs, but for shelters and adoption ecosystems—helping improve handling practices, reduce bite incidents, and increase successful long-term adoptions.

Building Authority Through Outcomes

From the outset, Adnaan focused on building repeatable systems, not personality-driven training.
Over time, he became widely recognised as one of India’s leading dog behaviour analysts and rehabilitation specialists, known for handling cases others had written off—chronic aggression, repeated bite histories, severe anxiety, and dogs labelled untrainable.
