What is the ideal age to start the training of a dog?
A puppy who is at least 4 months old.
What is the process to enroll a dog in Board and Train program?
In general, our process is
1) Dog assessment
2) Evaluation of dog's vaccination reports
3) 15-days waiting period post-registration is completed successfully.
What if my dog forgets me after dropping him at your school for 6-8 weeks?
Usually, a dog would not forget his owner. However, if it does, it is merely a temporary phase lasting from few hours to a couple of days.
What is the time period of the Board and Train program?
It's somewhere between 6 - 8 weeks.
Can we make a partial payment or pay fees in equal installments?
No, we accept 100% payment in advance!
What kind of food you'll give to our dog?
We give both processed and home-cooked food which includes chicken, rice, veggies, curd, or similar. At K9, we especially take care of each dog's own tastes, habits, and preferences and also consult dog owner's instructions on the dog's normal lifestyle.
How many grooming and swimming sessions are included in a board and train program?
One session is free for each grooming and swimming program.
What are the accepted payment methods?
We do accept Cash, Bank transfer, UPI transfer, PayTm, However, a bank transfer is the most preferred and safest way to receive the payments.
Is your facility air-conditioned?
Yes
What will be the general stay arrangements for my dog?
We have a state-of-the-art facility that consists of a large dog pool, a playground, hygienic kennels where dogs spend their time the most. Separate large-sized air-conditioned kennels will make your dog's stay as comfortable just like his home.
How do we know if our dog is being properly trained?
We create a separate WhatsApp group with all the pet parents and provide them regular training updates. We also ask for feedback from pet parents post the training program.
Can you put my dog for adoption on my behalf?
No, we cannot put your dog for adoption.
What is your training methodology?
We offer real-world obedience (instead of just a list of 20 commands, or some cool tricks, fun stuff that isn’t useful for your dog), rather we focus primarily on 4-6 notable commands and we make sure that your dogs are responding to us as per our unique reward/motivating system and are performing well in different environments and even in challenging settings. We believe your dogs are real-life-oriented beings.
Who will train our dog?
Having worked with over 3000 dogs worldwide in 12 countries all over the world, Adnan along with his team of 4-5 senior trainers who work towards the training.
What if my dog isn't feeling comfortable in your school?
Though we make serious efforts to make your dog comfortable with us. However, if we see your dog still not able to adjust well with us, pet parents are informed accordingly and it's on them to continue with his training or hold.
What things our dog will learn in your board and train program?
We offer to resolve your dog’s behavior issues, we’re here to increase socializing and exposure training who have not been able to socialize properly and show low confidence. Our training program includes seven Commands, leash training, potty training, socialization, and covers several behavior issues.
Is there any online training program for dogs?
No, at the moment, we only offer physical training for the dogs.
What is the process of enrolling in this course?
Pre-SignUp - In the pre-sign up phase, we collect and evaluate the assessment videos, complete boarding forms, share all details over emails/Whatsapp and check for vet checks, we receive payments in advance, the initial onboarding process will be taken care of by our manager who will be available to guide you step by step.
Check-In - On the day of check-in, there will be one senior trainer ethier Adnan Khan himself or Raghav Juneja. Please note, we have between 4-5 fully trained dog handlers or trainers working with the dog on a daily basis.
Post Check-Out - There is a two week buffer where pet parents can come with their dog and our handlers will be there to give free advice on what is the right way to integrate their training with us.
What is the required qualification to enroll in the dog trainer's course?
Anyone above the age of 18 years and possess a passion for dog training.
Are we able to train the dog after doing this course?
Yes, you will be able to train the dog. Since K9 School was founded, we’ve trained and helped graduate over 200 Board & Train participants under several Rehab Training programs.
Is there any certificate issued after the completion of the course?
Yes, a participation certificate is given after the course is complete.
Is there any advanced course after this foundation course?
No, our comprehensive training program is a self-sufficient program and does involve advanced techniques that get covered well under one program.
Is the K9 certificate authorized by any government body?
No, it's a certificate for participation only.
Are there any online courses available for people who are based out of Delhi or India?
Not at the moment.
Is K9 school a registered organization?
K9 school is recognized by the Make in India initiative and it's a private limited company. We are also recognized by the Parliament of India with an independent consulting certificate.
